Another busy week put down in Hammies this week. Tuesday saw Brian Nixon from MTU kindly come into school and give a very informative talk on careers in the automotive industry to the lads. The lads were especially amazed with...all the different routes and options there are in the motor industry.
Wednesday was bitter sweet for our senior footballers' the Corn Ui Mhuirí campaign came to and end, but the heart, determination and most importantly the never give up attitude really shone through from this brilliant group of players. Everyone in the Hammies community are really proud of them getting so far in the competition. Wednesday also saw the Model UN kick started again which saw us putting forward an impressive twenty delegates. It continues until this evening.
Hammies Footballing exploits were back on track again on Thursday with the u16 footballers booking their place in the county semi-final, with an impressive win over Skibbereen. They now face St. Francis College Rochestown. Ciorcal Comhra also took place in the big hall. The lads came in for tea, board games and to keep their oral Irish sharp. Well done to all involved.Read moreLess
