Dear Friends of Hamilton High School,
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community. The school is continuing to enjoy outstanding academic and sporting success and we are continually seeking ways to enhance the educational experience of our students and to develop the school community.
The school now has an enrolment of 375 students. This huge increase in enrolment over recent years has led to an urgent need for new classrooms, including a dedicated Science Laboratory. The new classrooms will replace existing temporary accommodation and will ensure compliance with the recommendations of School Inspection Reports.
The Department of Education & Skills has granted some funding but it will not cover the entire cost of the project; we will be relying on the generosity of our past pupils, parents and the local community for financial assistance and we will be greatly appreciative of all donations.
In addition to grants, €200,000 is the projected target sum necessary to complete the building project and associated works.
Building construction work has begun with a proposed completion date of late August 2014.
Hamilton High School has been in Bandon Town for over seventy years and we are grateful for the ongoing support and generosity of our community, ensuring our continued success and future achievements.
